Outlook cannot finish receive and sends duplicate email ?
I am suffering from a problem in outlook that I have found today. My computer was alright, no problems of virus and malware programs but when I try to send and receive then my outlook will not complete receive and cannot send 3 outbox mails. Error messages vary from cannot open PST to server TCP/IP problems. The PST Errors went away and now it’s just TCP/IP problems. As it receives 7 emails, it gets finished with about 4 of 7 and then the pop up come with the errors. At the bottom left corner, I saw something like ‘6343 items 247 inbox?’ is this problem? How can I solve this problem of sending and receiving duplicate emails?
Hi. Thanks for this precise error message. According to the situation the size of the mailbox is not the right issue of this problem and if you move some old folder then it might be a little faster. The 6343 should be the # of items in your inbox, 247 of which are unread, although it could be something else since I don\'t know your version.
The problem of duplicate emails usually occurs due to the virus scanners programs or email scanner programs that are integrated with the computer antivirus programs. These programs also associate themselves to outlook and monitor all the receiving and sending mails and don\'t download the emails if it carries viruses in it. You can try your outlook open with the safe switch and then check if it works better or not.
You can try your antivirus program to temporarily shut down and then try to do this thing. But the better option to you is to uninstall the antivirus completely and then reinstall it using the custom option without the email scanner installed.
