Duplicate Emails in Inbox ?

Today when i checked my outlook mailbox then I found that I am getting duplicate emails. Not all of them were duplicate but many of them were duplicate and the incoming emails come into Postbox. I saw the two more copies of the mail i.e. total three copies of a single mail. I was trying to delete the duplicates but when I attempt to do that, it changed into (no subject) and sort of freezes up for few seconds. When I check the trash folder, it only shows one email and it means there is still one duplicate email in my inbox. The situation is very hectic and I want to get the relief from these duplicate emails as it takes time to delete it manually. Tell me a way if you know more about it.

If you are getting the duplicate emails on your computer then it means either your outlook or your mail server has corrupted emails. There are other situations when your email server sends the mail again. When you try to open or download the mail then the outlook after downloading the email send a ping to the email server that the email is received but due to slow internet connection if the ping is not sent to the mail server then it again send the same email. It it is also happening in your case then all you need is the fast internet connection. If it happens and you have received the duplicate emails when you try to open it, the mail scanner associated with the antivirus program creates problems and so in this situation you first need to either temporarily turn off your antivirus program or the email scanner and then try to again open the email program. I think you need to first uninstall the antivirus and then do the custom installation without the mail scanner associated with it.

Manually Duplicate email deletion – To do the same follow the steps,

Select the table using the view > Current view. For email folders, all standard views use a table view.
Right click any column heading, then choose Field Chooser
Here switch from Frequently used fields list to Date/Time fields and then drag the modified date to the view to add it to the fields displayed
Click on modified column header to sort by that field
Now see your outlook items in reverse chronological order
Click on the first item you want to delete
Use the scroll bar to find the last item with same modified date
Hold the shift key as you click the last one. It selects all the items between two selections
Press delete to remove them all from the folder
Drag the modified column header out of the view to remove it

This method works well with imported items or when you re-download messages left on the email server because you\'ll have one set of items with the same imported.
